Last January my daughter turned 6 and when I asked what kind of party she wanted all she could say was "A Musical Statue" party. So I thought "I can do that" and organised a Musical Statues party in our local village hall. All the kids loved it but it got me thinking about how much time and effort we put into making sure our kids have fantastic parties
At the time, redundancy was looming for me and in a flash of inspiration it came to me - busy parents need an affordable service that takes all the hassle out of organising a party. And so www.personalisedparties.co.uk was born. Fast forward 7 months and we now have a fabulous website, orders coming in and the makings of a flourishing business.
I'm now 2 weeks away from being made redundant and have put together a product that I'm really proud of.
The product itself is essentially a party delivered straight to your door. In the party box are plates, cups, napkins, banners, balloons, music, games sheets with full instructions on how to play the games, fully wrapped up prizes and a separate bag of prizes to hand out for games that have no definite 'winner', a craft kit with things to make and do and party bags fully made up. The beauty of the product is that it takes all the stress away from the parent and saves all the usual traipsing around the shops and trawling the internet.
This is my first blog and I hope to follow it up with my musings on starting a business and the delights and pitfalls that I encounter. I look forward to one day having a chat with you and helping you organise a fab party. See you soon x
